My favorite type of challenges are those that cause me to think outside the box and try techniques that are not in my scrapbooking comfort zone. I tend to really enjoy learning new things and trying new techniques.

What a great lead in to our NSD Challenges!
Personally, I love challenges that are not too specific, and force me to think outside of the box while being able to use products I have on hand.

I love challenges for different mini albums and cards with very specific instructions when it comes to dimensions but lots of freedom for embellishments.

I seem to like the sketch challenges….they are the ones that get me thinking the most as they are the ones that usually aren’t my style and then I have to think more!

My favorite layouts are simple but colorful and with some texture. Sometimes they can get to busy and you lose the focus of the page.

challenges are wonderful
but challenges that involve the ability to digi scrapbook
colours
buttons
bling
just so long as the layouts allows the individual who digi scrapbooks to participate is appreciated

I love sketch challenges, especially at the beginning of a crop. I find it gets my creative juices flowing. Another favourite is the challenges where a “recipe” of products is given to use, e.g. “use 2 colours of cardstock, one patterned paper, photo corners and ribbon” - that gets me thinking outside the box to combine product that I already have in my stash!

I love sketch challenges, all about me challenges and song challenges. I also love product challenges.

I love sketch challenges for cards. I don’t do a lot of them (although I want to do more!) but I love looking at the original sketch, and the finished cards.
April 27th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
I love challenges that allow me to use my supplies in new/interesting ways. I don’t want to have to go out and shop in the middle of a scrapping day…but I do want to stretch what I do have
Plus…I’d love some core’dinates!

I love challenges that help me use up the things I’ve already got (& usually haven’t used in forever!)

Great layout! love that coredinations cardstock!
My favorite kind of challenges involves multiple parts (ie.e using 4 mfgs , must include stamping, chipboard all on the same layout….). these cause me to use a lot of thought since i rarely stamp , rarely use chipboard and rarely use multiple mfgs patterened paper in one layout.

I have never taken part in any challenge - but it sounds like an interesting way to try new ideas. Just from reading the answers here, I think I would like the sketch and recipe challenges.

I love recipe challenges, I feel more creative with them. I do love the sketch & scrfaplift challenges for those days I’m not feeling the creative groove.
Thanks for a great blog,

I love a color scheme challenge where I have all of the needed supplies easily at hand. Often I won’t participate if I have to go searching for one of the items - who knows how long I’ll have to search before I find the needed tool, ink, embellishment, etc.
May 4th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
I like challenges that prompt me to try new techniques or to use my ’stash’ in an inventive way. I have a lot of supplies, but I don’t always have the ideas to use them.

I love challenges that help to use up my stash and try something different. The layouts generated from these are some of my favorite. Thanks for keeping me motivated!

I love challenges that pull me out of my “comfort zone”. I am generally a simple, clean lined scrapper who needs to be challenged to “junk it up”.
