Welcome to the CCAS NSD Celebration!
Good morning and welcome to the Creative Crafts and Stickers National Scrapbooking Day (Weekend) Celebration!
I am thrilled to be the lucky one to once again invite you to visit the blog all weekend long to join in the festivities.
Before I get started, please be aware that for those of you who receive the Feedblitz updates, there will be a LOT of updates this weekend due to the celebration, but remember, this is a one time event. Please do not unsubscribe due to too many updates over the next few days. After the event is over, we will return to once a day updates.
From now until end of day Sunday, we will be celebrating our love for scrapbooking with challenges and a few make n takes. Be sure to check yesterdays post to be entered in an amazing draw, as Catherine from Scrapbook & Cards Today has offered TWO copies of the Simply Cards Today card book.
Here are the rules for the challenges this weekend:
1. Must be a new creation, starting today.
2. No digital pages. Hybrid and traditional creations welcome.
3. You must post your work to the appropriate challenge comment section or email to jen@creativecraftsandstickers.com. Please put CCAS Celebration and the challenge number in the subject line. If you email your challenge, be sure to post a comment letting us know your entry has been emailed. Links to blogs or photo storage areas are fine.
4. Must be linked no later than 11:59pm EST on Monday evening.
5. You must post your first name & last initial and some way of getting in contact with you (ie: email or blog address).
6. No combining of challenges.
7. You will earn ONE ballot per completed challenge entry. You may do challenges more than once but each page must complete the challenge requirements.
8. Double pages will only count as one entry.
Challenge #1
To help increase your odds of winning some of our awesome prizes, you can earn extra ballots for prizes by commenting on all the challenges and NSD posts for the CCAS NSD celebration (Friday May 2 - Tuesday May 6). The only hitch is that you must complete and link/email one challenge by Monday 11:59pm EST before any of your comments can count towards ballots… trust me this will be easy!
*** We interrupt this exciting post to tell you of some fabulous news . Catherine from Scrapbook & Cards Today is so grateful for all of the amazing posts that you all have made, that she has offered three subscriptions as prizes. Each day of this event, we will be holding a draw for the subscription. To be entered in this draw, you need to comment on other peoples completed challenges. One winner will be announced each day from the comments made on that day. So let’s get commenting. Thanks again Catherine! You rock! ***
Challenge #2
The second challenge is to create a 4×12 layout. No, this is not a typo. I am challenging you to create a 4×12 layout. I use this size for my 365 Days of Memories photographs. Given that I am taking a photograph and journaling everyday of the year, I decided that a 4×12 layout for each day would be perfect. Once I got started, I realized what a great size it is for mini albums.
Here is an example of a 4×12 layout from my album …

So get scrapping and show us what you can do with a 4×12 layout. You never know, you too may fall in love with this size.
Good luck with the challenges and we hope you enjoy scrapping with the Creative Crafts and Stickers team.
~ Jen

4 X 12 !!! That sounds crazy but it is beginning to grow on me. I could probably complete one of those just from all the leftovers on my work desk right now.

That sounds like a really cool size! I will have to give it a shot…and congrats for taking a pic 365 days in a row!!!!

I really am enjoying reading the various challenges you have put on your blog so far. I like seeing challenges that have varied layout sizes. It provides me with new thinking for future albums or ones I may be starting soon.

I’ve never done a 4×12 layout… yours looks fantastic! I just might have to try it.

I love your 4×12 layout so I thought I’d return to this post to make a comment. I’m a little late getting at the challenges, so I’m not sure if I will get this one done, but I will try. I have to admit I’m intrigued.

4×12 ehh? where do you get albums and page protectors for that size? I’m fairly new to scrapbooking and have usually stuck to 6×6 or 12×12. I’m up for the challenge though! Thanks for the idea.

I did it!!! I completed my first 4 x 12 layout. You can see it here:

Well 4×12 sounds interesting, what a great way to use left over paper. I can’t wait to give it a try. Hey girls why not try doing 3 4×12’s and put them in a 12×12 page for your albums. Cheers!!!
