Wordy Wednesday - Honour
This week’s word is HONOUR.
honour
- High respect, as that shown for special merit; esteem: the honour shown to a Nobel laureate.
-
- Good name; reputation.
- A source or cause of credit: was an honour to the profession.
-
- Glory or recognition; distinction.
- A mark, token, or gesture of respect or distinction: the place of honour at the table.
- A military decoration.
- A title conferred for achievement.
- High rank.
- The dignity accorded to position: awed by the honour of his office.
- Great privilege: I have the honour to present the governor.
For my page, I wanted to highlight the photos of my sister getting ready for my wedding last summer. She, of course, was my maid of honour.
