NSD Challenge # 11

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

Here is the last official challenge. I really hope you’ve had fun creating this weekend.

It’s time for a journaling challenge. I would like you to start of with the following: “ I Now Know……..”

Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

I Now Know how to….”

I Now Know why……..”

I Now Know that…….”

I did the following layout for The Scrapping Bug. The journaling reads: “I Now Know why I was put on this earth. I am here to love, here to teach, here to cherish, here to be a mother.”

Please email your layouts to me at thynner5@yahoo.ca to recieve your ballot for the many amazing prizes being offered this weekend. Remember that you recieve a ballot for every comment made on the blog as long as you have entered at least one creation. You have until Monday at midnight to send in all your creations.

We hope you have had lots of fun with the many challenges posted this weekend. I know we have loved hosting this NSD Blog Party and will try and do something again…. soon. Thanks to everyone who have donated prizes and have shared thier lovely work with us.

Happy Scrapping!

Challenge #9: Use White Cardstock!

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

Good Morning Everyone!  The sun has finally started to shine and things are looking stunning outside as the flowers start to open their petals.  What a wonderful day it is going to be!

This morning’s challenge is one of my favourites.  I challenge you to use white cardstock as your background.  I absolutely LOVE layouts done on white.  They always end up being so crisp and clean looking.  LOVE IT!

There is a second part to this challenge as well.  Once you have finished your layout, you need to create a card using the scraps.  I decided to make mine a Birthday card so that I can give it to Catherine from Scrapbook & Cards Today to send off to one of the many children’s hospitals she is working with.

Thanks to everyone who has participated in our challenges so far. There are a few more challenges to be posted today. Remember that each challenge you complete gives you a ballot into our draw for a Clip It Up and if you complete a layout or mini album telling us Why You Scrapbook you will get 3 ballots.

For anyone who is interested, I have posted my 4×12 lego layout.  All I can say is Oops! as I meant to upload it yesterday morning!

And don’t forget to leave comments for other participants.  Once you have submitted a completed challenge to our team, you will receive a ballot for each comment you leave for other scrapbookers.

Have a wonderful day!

Happy Scrapping!

Challenge #8: Layout Bingo

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

I hope everyone is ready for another challenge! It’s time for a Layout Bingo Challenge!!

Below is a bingo card with items and techniques. Please pick four squares going in any direction. You must use those items or techniques on your creation.

Layout Bingo Card

A very good and gracious friend of mine did a sample layout for me because I had to work today. She will earn a ballot for her lovely layout. Thanks again Suzanne. Your layout is just beautiful!

She chose to use the bottom line of the bingo card: (3 flowers only, inked the tag, sticker letters, 3 or more photos.)

Please email your completed layout to me at: thynner5@yahoo.ca and put “CCAS Blog Challenge #8″ in the subject line. You could also link it on the blog.

Have fun!

Challenge #7: Quote me baby!

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

For this extremely simple challenge, I’d like you to use ANY of the quotes listed below on a page:

- A loving heart is the truest wisdom ~ Charles Dickens

- Every exit is an entry to somewhere else. ~ Tom Stoppard

- A dog wags its tail with its heart. ~ Martin Bauxbaum

- Laughter is an instant vacation ~ unknown

- If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun. ~ Katherine Hepburn

-   A heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others. ~ “The Wizard of Oz”

Here’s my page…. “Wisdom”

Link your creation to this post or email your creation to Jen.

Challenge #6

The Creative Crafts and Stickers Resources section has lots of amazing scrapbooking and papercraft ideas.

One of my favourite sections is full of inspiring sketches, many of which have been created by our very own Ally!

Your challenge for this morning is to pick a sketch from the CCAS website and create a layout.

When you have completed the challenge, post a link to both the sketch you used as well as your layout.

Here is the sketch I used:

Here is my layout:

(Pardon the colours, it is pouring rain outside and they did not photograph well on my kitchen floor LOL)

Happy Scrapping!
