It’s time for another challenge. This week I want you to keep it simple. I want to see clean lines and simple design.

I was challenged the other day to go back to basics and keep a layout simple. Now, I happen to love to layer and pop my layouts. I like to have lots to look at. So…. this was a huge challenge for me. I still look at my layout and I have this urge to “finish” it.

This week’s challenge is a Bold challenge. I would like to see you use bold colors. Go bright and show off your photos. Using Bold colors can seem intimidating. I know, I used to shy away from them too. One day I was challenged to step outside of my comfort zone and create with bold colors. It took me awhile but I loved the results. So much, in fact, that I am always looking for color in my layouts now.

Here is my bold layout. It is a layout of Paige and showcases her lovely smile. I used a great kit I received from Scrapdango. It s this month’s Sugar kit. If you like the look of it just wait until you see next month’s!!

This weeks challenge involves chipboard. I would love to see some altered chipboard on your layout or card. I was inspired by a post at Scrapdango asking how to use and alter chipboard. There are some great tips posted there as well.

Here is my layout. I just pulled out some chalk inks and dragged them across the chipboard until I was happy with the two tone look. I then adhered it to a Halloween layout I had did for The Scrapping Bug using the Imaginese paper line:

For me, happiness is spending time with my kids, and luckily for everyone in my house, happiness is also my kids spending time with each other. I created this layout of my kids playing in the apple orchard while spending an afternoon picking fruit.

Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine have posted all of the sketches that have appeared in the magazine over the last few years on their blog. There are single page and double sketches as well as 12×12 and 8.5×11 sketches, basically something for everyone.

My challenge to you today is to choose one of the sketches and create a layout.

Hello everyone

It has been a while since I posted a challenge for everyone. Today’s challenge (well actually yesterdays challenge ;)) is to create a layout using more than one photo where at least one of them is a 4×6.
