To Enter:
Submit your best single-photo (photos can be any shape or size) layout, card or altered item in a “Summer Fun” theme between April 15 & May 30, 2006 at your local participating scrapbook store*.
From June 1 to June 15, 2006 the entries will be on display in your participating local scrapbook store* and a voting process will be held in each participating store. After June 15 the images of the top three layouts, cards or altered item from each store will be provided to Scrapbook & Cards Today.
Scrapbook & Cards Today’s Design Team will select the top ten entries and request that they be sent in original form from the stores, whereby Hewlett-Packard will choose the three winners.
The Summer Fun Giveaway winners will be announced on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Website on August 1, 2006 and the prizes will be awarded following the announcement. All finalists’ entries will be returned immediately following the announcement. The winning entries will be featured in the fall issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today, available in your local scrapbook store* on September 21, 2006. The winning entries will be returned 60 days after publication.

“Summer Fun Giveaway” CONTEST RULES
Sponsored by: Scrapbook & Cards Today, on behalf of Scrapbook & Cards Today Inc. (the “Sponsor”)
1. CONSENT TO USE PERSONAL INFORMATION: By entering the “Summer Fun Giveaway” contest (the “Contest”) in stores and voluntarily providing your personal information (including, but not limited to e-mail address, first name, last name, city, province, postal code, and phone number) you consent to Scrapbook & Cards Today collection and use of your information to administer this Contest.
2. CONTEST PERIOD: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Contest shall run from April 15, 2006 to August 1, 2006, inclusive. All entries must be received in participating stores* no later than the close of business, determined by the store, on May 30, 2006, after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries shall be accepted.
3. CONTEST PARTICIPATION: By entering this Contest, you agree to follow these Contest Rules. In order to enter the Contest, and qualify for a chance to win one of the three Hewlett-Packard prizes, you may enter in the following way:
(a) Only (1) one qualifying entry per household address;
(b) all work must be original, and unpublished; and
(c) all work must be submitted to a participating store*.
4. PRIZES
One (1) HP Photosmart 3310;
One (1) HP Photosmart 422 Photo Studio; and
One (1) HP Photosmart M22 Digital Camera5.
COMPLY WITH CONTEST RULES
Once contacted, a selected entrant must, in order to be declared eligible to receive the one of the Hewlett-Packard prizes:
(a) comply with all Contest rules;
(b) correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill testing question (which will be administered at a pre-arranged time with the selected entrant) without the assistance of another person or mechanical device; and
(c) sign Scrapbook & Cards Today standard declaration of compliance with the Contest rules, release and consent to publicity form (the “Consent”), which shall serve as the selected entrant’s agreement to release and indemnify the Sponsor and their respective parent(s), subsidiaries, affiliates and/or related companies and each of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies from any liability in connection with the Contest and/or the prize. If Scrapbook & Cards Today does not receive a signed Consent back from the selected entrant within five (5) days from the delivery of the Consent to the entrant, then such entrant shall forego any right or entitlement to the prize and Scrapbook & Cards Today may select another entrant’s submission.6. ELIGIBILITY: This Contest is open to all residents of Canada. The employees of the Sponsor and Hewlett-Packard and each of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, advisors, assignees, agents, licensees, representatives, advertising, media buying and promotional agencies and members of their respective immediate families or persons with whom any of the foregoing is domiciled are not eligible to enter this Contest.
7. ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS:
(a) The winning entries will be featured in the September 21, 2006 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today.
(b) By participating in this Contest, the winners agree that his/her name, city and province of residence, photograph, submission may be used in any and all forms of media, without any further compensation by the Sponsor and waives all rights with respect to printed, broadcast and other forms of publicity. Written confirmation of the foregoing in the form of the Consent referred to above must be executed by the winners and provided to Scrapbook & Cards Today prior to such winner being declared eligible to receive their prize.
(c) This Contest is void where prohibited by law and is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
(d) All entries are subject to verification by the Sponsor and the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel and revoke any entries if they are found to be improper or if the entrant is subsequently found not to be eligible pursuant to these Contest rules.
(e) Hewlett-Packard is not in any way associated with the programs owned or operated by Scrapbook & Cards Today, nor are the producers or distributors of publications associated in any way with this Contest.
(f) In the event of unavailability of the stated prizes (or any portion thereof), the Sponsor, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
(g) The prizes are not transferable, not refundable, and not redeemable for cash, will not be extended under any circumstances and must be accepted as offered.
(h) By participating in this Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest rules and the decisions of Scrapbook & Cards Today in awarding the prizes, which decisions shall be final and binding upon all entrants. Failure to comply with these rules may void an entrant’s rights vis a vis the awarding of the prizes. Interpretation of these Contest rules by the Sponsor shall be final. Shipped prizes shall not be insured and Sponsor shall not assume any liability for lost, damaged, or misdirected prize.
(i) The Sponsor may terminate this Contest at anytime and may amend the rules or administration of this Contest without notice in their sole discretion in any commercially reasonable manner.
(j) The Contest shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
8. PARTICIPATING STORES: Participation by stores is based solely on the discretion of the store, and the store is bound by the rules outlined within this Schedule.
