Creating silly songs is a great way to keep your children entertained.
Choose a song/tune that they are familiar with and change the words.
Sing about what you are doing, silly things, what you are thinking, etc.
As kids get older, they will join in the fun of creating the silly songs. Start off with a line a line or two and see what they come up with. You can alternate lines or let them go and when they are running out of lines to add, add a few of your own to keep the song going.
Enjoy, and know that as you are singing, you are helping your kids to think quickly on their feet and use their vocabulary skills.
