Fingerprints

Use a large piece of construction paper and some paint to make a very memorable Mother’s Day or Father’s Day card for the parent of a small child.
Print out the following poem on some white paper. Fold the construction paper in half and have the child decorate one side with their handprints. Paste the poem onto the other face of the paper.
Fingerprints
Sometimes you get discouraged

Because I am so small,

And always leave my fingerprints

On furniture and walls.
But everyday I’m growing.

- I’ll be grown up someday.

And all those tiny handprints

Will surely fade away.
So here’s a final handprint

Just so you can recall

Exactly how my fingers looked

When I was very small.
