Sketch Puzzle for June 13, 2010

CCAS is happy to announce that our sketches will soon be available for download right here on our very own site. Keep watching for details. We will continue to offer them as a puzzle (because we know that you love that option) and offer them as a download as well for you to be able to collect each week. How awesome is that?

This weeks puzzle has multiple layers, any of which could be a different patterned fabric, colored cardstock or even a lace or ribbon embellishment. We are once again highlighting one photo – you could easily add one or two more to the left of the featured photo by keeping them 1/2 the size of the original and turning them to the landscape layout. The layout is designed for a square page. Feel free to change it up as you desire to meet your own creativity.

If you use our sketches, we would love to see what you create. You may submit your sketches for us to feature on CCAS by submitting via the Get Featured tab in the main menu bar. Submitting a sketch also enters you into our monthly drawing.

For even more exciting Scrapbook Sketches and other sketch resources CCAS also maintains a scrapbook resources list.

Sketch Puzzle for June 6th, 2010

Today’s sketch puzzle is a simple but fun sketch. Bold shapes and sizes and a single 4 X 6 photo are featured. We also chose to use contrasting colors in the puzzle to offer one example of how you might choose to use this sketch. Adding your own textures and additional embellishments can add even more flare to make this sketch your own.

Don’t forget that you can submit your own sketches for us to feature on CCAS at any time by submitting via the Get Featured tab in the main menu bar. Another benefit to submitting your original sketches is that it enters you into our monthly drawing.

For even more exciting scrapbook sketches and other sketch resources visit the CCAS scrapbook resources list. And watch for CCAS to be adding our own scrapbook sketch download area soon. Be sure to visit often so you don’t miss anything.

Little Bliss Font

Today’s featured font is:

I just thought that this Little Bliss font was so cute. It brought back all of those warm and fuzzy feelings that I had as I brought each of my new babies home from the hospital – SO long ago. The name of the font, the look of the font, just everything about it made me think of all the little things that I kept to add to my childrens first year baby scrapbooks.

I had one of the “store bought” baby books. As an avid scrapbooker, one would not even consider purchasing a blank baby book that the craft stores offer but we mothers often find ourselves getting them as gifts during the traditional baby showers. So, if you fall into that category and you have one of those “store bought” scrapbooks, this font could be a great font to use as a title for one of the featured areas. I can picture it in blue or pink and above the one baby picture that all mothers typically take and save… the newborn calmly asleep in their crib with the sweetest look on their face. You could even turn the font into an iron on transfer and transfer it onto a piece of soft cotton fabric stretched over cardboard to replace the “store bought” titles throughout the book or use it as unique titles on your created scrapbook pages.

The Little Bliss font  is available in regular and bold. The one in the image above is the bold – go figure… it says bold.

You may download the awesome Little Bliss Font by Andrew2 over at his site Dirt2. Be sure to leave him a comment about his font and let him know how your heard about it.
