Sketch Puzzle for June 27, 2010

This weeks sketch was originally featured in the WeScrap Sketchy Saturday forum. The design was from Calia and it was posted by holly_m from the Inspiration Team. Let me tell you a little about the sketch…

Two photos or images can be featured using this sketch. A single word or title is located below the centered photos and a large journalling area is located on the right side of the page in a column. There are some suggestions for embellishment placement but you could use your own creativity to change this a bit and add those special touches wherever you believe would best enhance your own scrapbook page.

So, here is the puzzle for you to solve. Good luck and have fun!

Beauty

This week’s word is BEAUTY.

Beauty is defined as…..

  • the qualities that give pleasure to the senses
  • smasher: a very attractive or seductive looking woman
  • an outstanding example of its kind; “his roses were beauties”; “when I make a mistake it’s a beaut”
  • Beauty is a characteristic of a person, place, object or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning or satisfaction. Beauty is studied as part of aesthetics, sociology, social psychology and culture. As a cultural creation, beauty has been extremely commercialized.

Here is my page using the word BEAUTY. The page is based on a sketch by Anam Stubbington.

Attitude

This week’s word if full of “attitude”.

attitude: at·ti·tude

a: an organismic state of readiness to respond in a characteristic way to a stimulus (as an object, concept, or situation)

b: a negative or hostile state of mind b: a cool, cocky, defiant, or arrogant manner

The layout I created about my darling Emmy telling me, in her subtle way, that she no longer wants her picture taken has caused a little turmoil so we thought you might enjoy this instead.

This is a layout from Michelle Galloway, a weScrap iTeam member.

“A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.” ~Herm Albright

GROW

This week’s word:

Grow

1 a : to spring up and develop to maturity b : to be able to grow in some place or situation c : to assume some relation through or as if through a process of natural growth
2 a : to increase in size by assimilation of material into the living organism or by accretion of material in a nonbiological process (as crystallization) b :

I used this word as the title for my layout I did for Let’s Capture These Sketches. It is of my darling DD and how much she is growing up.
